Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) has achieved significant success in the UI GreenMetric 2024 rankings, which evaluate the sustainability performance of universities worldwide.
Established in 2010, the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Index assesses universities’ sustainability efforts on a global scale. This year, the rankings included a total of 1,477 universities from around the world, with 118 universities representing Turkey on the prestigious list.
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University recorded a 170-point increase compared to last year, achieving a total score of 7,555 points, which placed it at 307th in the world rankings. With this accomplishment, MSKU secured its place among the top 500 Turkish universities in the rankings.
The Green University Index evaluates universities based on criteria such as campus management, energy efficiency, waste management, water usage, and contributions to environmental awareness. MSKU’s performance highlights the recognition of its efforts toward a sustainable future on an international level.
